2-shanten hand. Which tile do you cut?
Pick the discard that leaves the most tiles to draw. Ties count as right.
This trainer measures tile acceptance only. It ignores hand value, dora, safety and what your opponents are doing. Want a pro to check the hands where the widest discard isn’t right?
How to use
- Pick a difficulty. Easy deals 1-shanten hands, Normal 2-shanten, Hard 3-shanten.
- Tap the tile you’d discard.
- Read the table. The widest discards are tagged, and your pick shows its count next to theirs.
- Hit Next hand. Your score and streak stay in this browser.
How it works
Each hand is 14 tiles off a shuffled 136-tile wall. The trainer keeps it only when it sits at the shanten you chose and the discards don’t all tie.
For every discard it counts ukeire: the draws that move you closer to tenpai, four copies of each kind minus the ones in your hand. The widest discard has the lowest shanten and the most tiles. Ties all count as right.
That’s tile acceptance only. Real hands also weigh value, dora, safety and the table. The widest cut is a strong default, not always the best play.
Want a pro to check the hands where the widest discard isn’t right?
Efficiency is the base. Knowing when to break it for value or defense is where games are won. Send me your logs and I’ll show you where.
