is the highest limit on the score table. One of them pays 32,000 on a and 48,000 on a dealer ron, before and riichi sticks.
The word is the usual English name. The glossary also glosses it as Limit Hand, and it uses that same English gloss for . The scores are not the same. Mangan is 8,000 and 12,000. Yakuman is four times that. The glossary entry states the 32,000 and 48,000 ron figures.
Two ways to get there
A named yakuman is worth the limit on its own. and ordinary added to it do not raise the payment. A second yakuman does. This site's default stacks them, so a double pays 64,000 and 96,000 on a ron.
The other route is kazoe. Count 13 han or more, from yaku and dora together, and the hand pays as one yakuman. , Mahjong Soul, and the EMA rules this site follows all count kazoe. Some house rules stop at and never pay it. The score calculator follows kazoe unless you turn that option off.
What one yakuman pays
No honba, and no riichi sticks on the table.
- Non-dealer ron: 32,000
- Dealer ron: 48,000
- Non-dealer tsumo: 8,000 from each other non-dealer, and 16,000 from the dealer
- Dealer tsumo: 16,000 from each of the three players
A double yakuman doubles each line. A triple triples them. The non-dealer tsumo on a double is 16,000 from each other non-dealer and 32,000 from the dealer. A dealer tsumo on a double is 32,000 from each player.
Closed or open
It depends on the hand. The list after this article is the same set as the cheat sheet. Closed only means a call scores nothing from that yakuman. Open allowed means the hand can include calls and still count.
Thirteen orphans is the closed one: a terminal and honor of every kind, plus a pair. On Mahjong Soul and Tenhou the 13-sided wait is a double yakuman. The EMA 2016 rules pay that hand as one yakuman either way.
is a double yakuman in this site's glossary. The table notes that some rules pay a single instead.
, a win on a discard in the first uninterrupted turn, is left off the list. Its value is a mangan, a yakuman, or nothing, depending on the rule set.
